Together we CAN make a difference in the fight against breast cancer...Won't you join me?
UPDATE! The second "journey of a lifetime" is now behind me but not forgotten! I walked the 60 miles from San Jose to San Francisco with 4400+ other walkers and a net of $7,000,000+ was raised with just this one walk! Again, thank you to all of my incredible supporters! Please see the entry in the diary section of this pledgepage for more.... :)
A BIG THANK YOU to my brother, Ken, my sister, Jennifer and to many other family and friends for their love and support after my breast cancer diagnosis three years ago! Thank you Ken for being my walking buddy while I was going through my treatments and trying to exercise and for walking with me last year so I would be ready for the 3Day event! Call me "crazy", but yes I have signed on once again to walk the 60 miles from San Jose to San Francisco in the 2002 Avon Breast Cancer 3Day in July. This is a very special and powerful event in the fight against breast cancer and I hope you will share this incredible adventure with me by supporting my fundraising efforts. I walked last year with 3,060 other walkers -- it was a very rewarding and incredible experience! I could not have done this without the love and support of my very generous sponsors (friends, family, co-workers AND people who don't even know me) who made it possible for me to raise just over $6,000! A BIG THANK YOU to all of those wonderful people! My husband participated in his own way and will also never forget the experience. I am a breast cancer survivor myself and am fortunately doing very well after 3 years now since my diagnosis. My husband has been right there by my side through my fight and was there to cheer me on during the walk -- little did he know that he would be there to cheer on my 3000+ walker friends too! He played "Pretty Woman" as he parked along the side of the road at various locations and cheered and clapped and kept us all going! He had blisters on his hands after the first day from clapping and cheering so hard and needed a glove for comfort and protection on Day 2. He is now referred to as "The Pretty Woman Guy" and is looking forward to doing it again with me and for all of us walkers! This is where I need your help. Won't you please join me in this fight by making a fully tax deductable donation on my behalf?
